About/FAQ
Q: What is the Outdoors Club?
A: (Mission Statement, straight from the constitution) “The purpose of the Outdoors Club is to expose Niagara University students to the joys of outdoor activities and to have a group of students with which they can share these activities. Such activities include hiking, camping, backpacking, canoeing, rafting, rowing, biking, climbing, fishing, ice fishing, tubing, snowshoeing and any other activity the club feels will further its purpose.”
Q: What have you done, where have you gone in the past?
A: Fort Niagara State Park hike, backpacking, Allegany State Park camping/cabin trip, rock climbing at Niagara Climbing Center, disaster drills (we volunteered as victims for the CERT teams to practice on in a designed emergency situation), clean sweeps of Devils Hole, gorge hikes, etc
Q: Who can join the group?
A: Any undergraduate, full-time student of N.U. may become a member of the club
Q: Can non-students come on the trips?
A: Yes, your friends can come with us, but they must pay their share of the trip. E-mail treasurer for more information on prices, which may vary depending on where we are going.
Q: When do you meet?
A: Depends. Usually it’s once every other week. See facebook group or e-mails for more details.
