The Communications program's faculty consists of scholars who have experience working in international print and web journalism, television production, cable advertising, and media research.  All of our full-time faculty have earned doctorates and have published articles in national journals in the field of communications.  The program also draws on an experienced group of adjunct faculty who currently work in various positions in the mass media industry.

As a student at Niagara University, you'll have the opportunity to be taught by faculty who have earned outstanding reputations in their fields - faculty who are at the forefront of scholarship and research. Niagara University is a proponent of active learning, and our faculty demonstrate such principles daily in their classrooms.  In support of this goal, 22 Arts & Sciences Faculty received grants from the Fund for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning and 8 faculty received mini-grants Commitee on College Teaching and Learning in the past year.In addition to fostering learning in the classroom, our faculty work closely with students on research projects.  In 2005-2006 faculty/student research collaborations included: 134 student presentions at the Undergraduate Research Conference, 18 student presentations at ECSC, and 48 student honors theses.
